Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 Trailer Drops with a Release Date

In May, developer Cold Iron Studios announced that Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 was coming. But, we didn't yet know when.

That wait is over, and with a new short -- and we mean short -- trailer, we now have a date and time. It's actually coming really, really, soon. August 25th, to be exact!

The game will move to a four-player co-op (up from three in the original), and the developers are also teasing new "perks, abilities, weapons, Xenomorphs". I really dug the original (now five-year-old) game. Its simple but satisfying gameplay loop kept me coming back for more.

Can I also say I'm really digging this more recent trend of dropping game release dates really soon after their original announcement? In this turbulent industry, can we at least keep this one thing?
