Rockstar’s ongoing saga that is the Red Dead Online beta continues in 2019 with the introduction of a new mode, and announcements of future content updates.
“Gun Rush” is a new 32-player mode where players in a continually-shrinking play area scout for weapons and ammunition and try to survive it out and be the last player standing. The mode releases today for all players of Red Dead Online.
Rockstar has also promised more content updates are forthcoming including the addition of Races, “Showdown Modes” and Daily Challenges.
There are also planned changes to the law and bounty upgrade system, the parlay system, and proximity-based player blips. The studio says the changes are being made to prevent instances of griefing and improve gameplay.
Alongside this update, players on Xbox One can also now access the Red Chestnut Arabian Horse, Alligator Skin Ranch Cutter Saddle and the High Roller Double-Action Revolver in the beta.
