This weekend in Sydney marked the Tom Clancy Rainbox Six APAC Pro-League Finals, and Japanese team eINs has taken the top spot, qualifying to the Pro-League Finals in Brazil next month.
The team — who wrapped up the two-day competition — found themselves in a fiery competition, overcoming beating South Korean team MantisFPS, taking the trophy.
As for the Australian teams, the host nation’s journey started off in fine form, with Mindfreak and Corvidae beating Japanese team Nora-Rengo and South Korean team New Life respectively in the quarter finals.
It wasn’t to be, though, with Mindfreak eventually falling to South Korea’s MantisFPS in the first semi-finals, and Corvidae losing to eventual champion’s eINs in the second semi-final.
The third season of competition comes to an end next month, November 18-19 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The finalists are North American teams Continuum and InFamy, Latin American teams Team Fontt and Black Dragons, European teams PENTA Sports and ENCE eSports, and eINs and MantisFPS from Asia PAcific.
