Arguably one of the largest attraction and talking points for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, the new battle royale mode “Blackout”, will have a free trial for new players to experience the mode starting tomorrow.
The free trial will run from Friday 18 January (tomorrow) through till next Friday 25 January.
The game’s developer Treyarch also released an update to the game today, launching new looting interface to Blackout, as well as new Zombies elixirs and features, and new multiplayer maps in rotation for owners of the season pass.
Black Ops 4 launched in October last year to generally positive reviews following the introduction of the new mode. Its announcement led to mixed reception following news that it would not have a single player campaign. Despite the initial criticism, it performed quite well commercially, having made over $500 million at launch.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is out now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
