Ultra Street Fighter II Brawls its way onto Nintendo Switch next month.
Capcom and Nintendo today announced that the arcade brawling classic Street Fighter II is coming to Nintendo Switch in an all new, revamped Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers offering, fighting its way onto Nintendo’s new console next month.
The new offering brings 2 new characters ‘Evil Ryu’ and ‘Violent Ken’ in addition to the 17 classic characters. Online ranked and casual mode also makes it way to this remaster. A new mode called ‘Way of the Hado’ also allows players to cast their hadokens in “first-person” using motion controls.
In terms of interesting Switch features: the detachable Joy-Cons can be used to fight against a friend, although how (and how well) that plays out remains to be seen.
We’ll find out next month, when Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers hits the Switch on May 26 in Australia and New Zealand for about $60AUD. Nintendo is also handling distribution in Europe for the title.
