Game developer and publisher giant Ubisoft has opened new studios in Germany and France.
Ubisoft today announced the opening of two new studios in Europe, Ubisoft Berlin and Ubisoft Bordeaux, with a combined staff count of ‘at least’ 100 adding to Ubisoft’s thousands of developers working across their various studios.
The new development houses are expected to work as satellite assist studios working across Ubisoft’s major AAA titles. The Bordeaux studio will report to Ubisoft’s French Studios division, while the Berlin studio will be managed by the studio manager for Ubisoft’s Blue Byte studio.
The new French arm is expected to work across Ubisoft franchises like Just Dance, Steep, and Tom Ghost Recon Wildlands, while the German studio will be working with the existing Blue Byte teams on a new unannounced project to one of Ubisoft’s existing franchises. The Blue Byte team has previously worked on strategy titles The Settlers and Anno, and provided assistance on For Honor.
Expect to hear more about Ubisoft’s next games and plans at this year’s E3.
