Square Enix has announced the release date for Final Fantasy XV: Episode Ignis. The new story chapter — out next month — lets players take on the role of the loveable crew member and chef.
With new elemental combat and a new unique ability called “Total Clarity”, allowing Ignis to attack multiple enemies at once, the new expansion will also bring a new guest appearance of Ravus to fight alongside Ignis. Players will be able to experience multiple endings in this adventure, also.
Episode Ignis launches 13 December on Xbox One and PS4.
In conjunction with this announcement, the publisher also announced that this episode will be guest-composed by Yasunori Mitsuda, of Chrono Trigger and Xenogears fame, with the legendary composer lending three of his songs, recorded with the Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra.
Episode Ignis will launch December 13 on Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Final Fantasy XV is out now for Xbox One, PS4, and Square-Enix has plans for a PC version coming next year.
